Nene Valley Entertainment is an entertainment provider offering bespoke packages to ensure clients get the entertainment that is right for them.
The challenge
I wasn’t happy in my current employment, so it really started as a hobby but was then given some equipment, which I tried out at my daughter’s 5th birthday party. Since then, my hobby has spiralled into a business. However, I had no experience in finance and needed help with marketing, and I felt I needed to be in an environment where I could come up with new ideas.
The result – how the programme helped
The programme has helped massively! It was like having an ideas factory – the speakers, mentors and Allia connections were really helpful in unleashing new ideas and helping me to develop them. I also left with new networks and friendships, including a brilliant accountant who was in my cohort.
I am growing! Before the programme I averaged 1 booking a week, I am now getting 20+ enquiries a week. My social media followers have increased massively and I was featured in the local press. I also have a virtual address at the Allia Future Business Centre, which has been really helpful in making my business appear more professional – I get everything I need from it and it is really useful having a formal business address.
