Green Business Programme

Want to learn about making your business more sustainable and lower your carbon footprint? Now you can – and what’s more, you might qualify for a grant of up to £5k to make eco-friendly adaptations. 

If your organisation is based in Cambridge, Huntingdonshire, or South Cambridgeshire you can access a grant of up to £5000 – designed to support various initiatives that can significantly reduce your energy costs and carbon footprint and help you become more sustainable.

What can the grant be spent on?

  • Building Fabric Improvements: Insulation to improve energy efficiency.
  • Energy Management Systems: Systems to better monitor and manage energy use.
  • Renewable Energy Technology: Solar photovoltaic panels or other renewable energy sources.
  • Heat Pumps: Heat pumps to reduce reliance on traditional heating methods.
  • Low Energy Lighting: Upgrade to LED or other low-energy lighting solutions.
  • Heating/Cooling Efficiency: Optimize the efficiency of existing heating and cooling systems.
  • Water and Energy Efficiency Measures: Save water and reduce energy consumption.
  • Resource Efficiency Measures: Implement practices to use resources more effectively and reduce waste.
  • Sustainable Transport Measures: Electric vehicles, charging points, or electric bicycles to minimize dependence on petrol or diesel vehicles.
