The challenge – what inspired your venture
Consuming ethically is hard work and time-consuming for the everyday shopper. 56% of people globally want to lead a more sustainable lifestyle, but are faced with a lack of choice, inconvenience and a poor user experience.
I wanted to help sustainable brands get seen and help consumers find ethical alternatives more easily, and so Goodfind.io was born. Since then the journey has been both hard and rewarding. The difficulties in finding early stage funding have been compensated by the ability to measure and see the impact we generate daily. Having the support of organisations like Allia has been invaluable.
The result – how the programme helped
Allia’s Impact Accelerator was instrumental to understand where we were in our journey and which direction to follow from there. While on the programme, we re-defined our funding strategy, rebranded, hired the first two payroll members of the team and prepared for our first angel funding round.
Today our platform supports over 600 brands, and last year we helped more than twelve thousand people to find an ethical product or service. Since launching in 2019, we’ve created social impact campaigns that increased awareness and mobilised thousands of people to take action on issues such as racial injustice, responsible consumption and gender inequality.
