Padlock addresses the future workforce requirement in cyber security by training lone parents in marketable cybersecurity skills.

What critical problem is Padlock addressing?

In 2019 only 10% of the Cyber Security workforce are women and on average 40% of jobs are unfulfilled in a market that requires diversity of thought and problem solving. There is a huge skills gap recognised by the industry, and yet the industry is largely ignoring half of the population.

How do you provide a solution to this problem?

We solve the cyber skills crisis through flexible working and on-going training. Padlock is an online platform connecting businesses with cybersecurity expertise, powered by the training of single parents in marketable cyber skills. We connect businesses to freelance consultants from a community of expertise; freelancers are matched to the job, and once the task is complete, payment will happen seamlessly and securely through the app.
