NEMI Teas are a sustainable tea company that helps refugees enter into employment. Their tea blends come in 100% plastic free, compostable packaging which is also marine degradable.
What critical problem is NEMI Teas addressing?
By providing employment to refugees we are helping them gain local work experience, practice their English language skills and get access to a local referee, which are the three biggest hurdles they face as they look to find employment in the UK. In essence, we help them overcome the challenges they face in integrating in their new homes.
How do you provide a solution to this problem?
We employ refugees to run tea stalls across London food markets, festivals, events and conferences. We also employ them within our business to perform commercial roles including sales & marketing, events, packaging and distribution. Additionally, 50% of profits are reinvested back into helping achieve our social impact goals.

What inspired you to start NEMI Teas?
The simple fact that we are all equal is what drove me to set up NEMI Teas. I strongly feel refugees who are new to this country must get the same opportunities as all of us, to make a bright future for them and to positively contribute back to the society.
The Future 20 program will allow NEMI Teas to scale its operations and social impact to another level by providing us access to its network of mentors, investors and fellow businesses. Such a program is invaluable for us!
